The Allied Healthcare Building takes top honor in Georgia’s Build Georgia Award

DESTIN, Fla. (June 9, 2014) : R. K. Redding Construction (RKR) of Bremen, Georgia, a full service, multi-disciplinary construction management and general construction contracting firm, received the top honor from AGC Georgia, the statewide chapter of The Associated General Contractors of America, Inc. (AGC of America) at its “Build Georgia” award ceremony in Destin, Fla. The firm's work on the Allied Healthcare Building was recognized with a First Place Award in the construction management division.

"The Allied Health project was an example of everyone working together toward a common goal, which allowed us to return a savings on the budget to the school," said Randall Redding, President & CEO of RKR. "We are humbled by this recognition and I am grateful for the talented team at RKR who take pride in every project on which they work."

The $8 million, 46,300 square foot Allied Healthcare Building was built in Newnan on the new Coweta County Campus at West Georgia Technical College and required an accelerated nine and a half month schedule. In addition to classrooms, lecture halls and laboratories outfitted for health professions, the facility also houses administrative offices and a student library.

Recent AGC Georgia Awards for RKR include the following projects: Trinka Davis Veterans Village (2013), GT Boggs NRE Lab Renovation and UWG Campus Bookstore (2012), Paulding County High School addition and a Best Sustainable Practices Award (2011), UWG's Greek Village (2010), North Paulding School Cluster (2009), and Rockmart Middle School (2008).

R. K. Redding Construction Promotes Casey Pollard and Steven Hill

BREMEN, Ga. (April 22, 2014) : R. K. Redding Construction (RKR), a full service, multi-disciplinary construction management and construction firm, is pleased to announce that Casey Pollard and Steven Hill are expanding their roles. Pollard becomes the Vice President of Strategic Planning & Development, while Hill is named the Vice President of Marketing & Employee Services.

"We are excited to recognize and reward both Casey and Steven, as the two of them have played such an instrumental role in our company's success through the years," said Randall Redding, President/CEO of RKR. "Their knowledge of our industry and our company, along with their tremendous work ethic, make them ideal candidates to lead our team as we are poised for significant growth in 2014 and beyond."

Pollard will lead business development and co-coordinate client planning services. He previously served as Project Manager on dozens of projects for RKR. He was recently selected by the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America to serve on its national Leadership Council Steering Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors for AGC Georgia Chapter, the Chairman of the AGC Georgia Young Leadership Program and on the Haralson County Chamber Board.

Hill has been instrumental in RKR's growth through the years and will use his diverse background and accomplishments to expand opportunities for workforce development and services. Hill's focus will insure that RKR remains on the cutting edge of technology, training and employee resources.

R. K. Redding Construction Team Wins Numerous Safety Awards from the Georgia Chapter of The Associated General Contractors of America, Inc.

BREMEN, Ga. (May 1, 2014) : R. K. Redding Construction (RKR), a full service, multi-disciplinary construction management and general construction contracting firm, had five of its supervisors receive the prestigious Ron Amerson Supervisors' Safety Award from the AGC Georgia, the statewide Chapter of The Associated General Contractors of America, Inc. (AGC of America) at its 18th annual award ceremony.

The following RKR Supervisors were honored (and met the requirements of zero accidents and a minimum number of man-hours supervised in 2013):


"It is an honor to have so many of our outstanding supervisors recognized by the AGC," said Randall Redding, President/CEO of RKR. "It reflects positively on our entire organization and shines a spotlight on the importance of workplace safety."

The Ron Amerson Supervisors' Safety Awards program is designed to recognize AGC of America members' supervisors for outstanding contributions to safety on their jobsites. The measurement criterion is based on safety incidence rates for individual supervisors in conjunction with actual man-hours directly supervised by each employee. Only those supervisors who showed a commitment to outstanding safety are eligible.

R. K. Redding Construction's Casey Pollard Selected to Join the Associated General Contractors of America's Construction Leadership Council

BREMEN, Ga. (March 18, 2014) : R. K. Redding Construction (RKR) Project Manager Casey Pollard has been selected by the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America to serve on its national Leadership Council Steering Committee for a three-year term from 2014-17. Casey also serves on the Board of Directors for AGC Georgia Chapter and as the Chairman of the AGC Georgia Young Leadership Program.

"I am honored that my colleagues at AGC have recognized my contributions to the organization by naming me to this committee," said Pollard. "I'm looking forward to serving in this leadership position during the next three years and helping lead AGC to a successful future."

Pollard has served as Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager for RKR on dozens of projects, including 12 school projects in Paulding County. He oversaw the Burnt Hickory Elementary School, which was awarded First Place in the 2009 AGC Build Georgia Awards.

A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Pollard has worked in the construction industry for 16 years and currently serves on the local Haralson County Chamber board. Pollard resides in Bremen, Ga. with his wife, Hannah, and two children.

RKR Premiere Sponsor of Clint Black Concert

Mill Town Music Hall is excited to announce that country music superstar Clint Black will be performing with his acoustic band on its stage on Friday, Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m. RKR will be the premiere sponsor for the concert.

RKR commissioned West Georgia's own Steve Penley to paint a portrait of Black that will be presented to the performer at Mill Town Music Hall. In addition, Penley will perform the Star Spangled Banner on stage prior to the concert.

WGTC Campus Opening September 2013

12/11/12 - Construction on two buildings whose completion will usher in a new era in Coweta County education is right on schedule.

West Georgia Technical College's stand-alone Coweta Campus south of Newnan will open on Sept. 20, 2013.

The 38-acre Coweta campus on Turkey Creek Road near the I-85 Moreland interchange initially will be home to a 36,000-­squarefoot, state-­funded building and the 47,000-plus squarefoot Newnan Hospital Allied Health Care Building. Core, business/public service and health service classes are expected to make up the bulk of course offerings when the Coweta campus first opens.

Randall Redding Named President of the Georgia Chapter of The Associated General Contractors of America, Inc.

R. K. Redding Construction (RKR) is excited to announce that its President & CEO Randall Redding has ascended to the presidency of AGC Georgia, the statewide Chapter of The Associated General Contractors of America, Inc. (AGC of America) at its annual convention.

Outgoing President Dave Cyr officially passed the gavel to Redding, at a ceremony during the convention, who will lead the Chapter from 2014-15.

"I am humbled by the opportunity to work with my esteemed colleagues at ACG during the next year," said Redding. "I look forward to working closely with the AGC Board to accomplishing great things."

Redding started the business in 1991, when he decided to make a difference in his hometown of Bremen, Ga. Today, RKR is an established general contractor and construction management firm that works throughout the southeast.

AGC Georgia is a statewide chapter of The Associated General Contractors of America, Inc.
